Ballet photography
An archive of dancers across 18 cities · four continents

Digital craftsman with an analogue eye. I photograph dancers the way you would light a sculpture — one clean line, one strong side, everything else allowed to fall away.
The black and white isn't a filter: most of this archive is shot on a Leica M11 Monochrom, a camera that only sees in tones. From the studios of Wellington to the streets of Tokyo, the squares of Rome and the trams of Hong Kong, the work follows the same idea — the body as one more form in the room, or in the city.
Based in Wellington, New Zealand · working worldwide.
Sessions 2026 / 2027 — dancers, companies and schools, wherever I'm shooting.
